Cable lengths for the Extension Unit Advanced
Advanced operator controls are mechanically installed at slots (installation components).
When wiring two Advanced operator controls, empty slots or other operator controls may
have to be skipped and wired in the opposite direction, see section "Assignment example for
an Extension Unit Advanced".
Therefore, the length of the connecting cables differs, see "Rear" section in the section
"Advanced operator controls and interfaces (Page 17)".
Empty configuration (0 × KP12) or minimum configuration (1 × KP12) with Advanced
operator controls (mixed configuration)
The following figure and table provide an overview of which connecting cables you will need
if there are slots between the cables that are to be skipped:
NOTICE
Minimum configuration: KP12 covers slots
Even if an operator control directly adjoins the KP12, there is still one slot in between: This
(additional) slot in the KP12 must be counted (+1) when you wire the KP12.

2
Not in the minimum configuration, which has fewer slots than the empty configuration.
