STEP 9 — COMPLETING THE PROGRAMMING

The Programmer/Tester displays the following message:

PROGRAMMING DEV.
PLEASE WAIT...

NOTE:

During the programming, the LED on the device will flash and
the relay on a relay-based device will activate. At this point, the
device will either PASS or FAIL.

DEVICE PASSED

After several seconds the Programmer/Test displays the following mes-
sage if the programming was successful:

DEV. PGM. OK!
INSERT NEXT DEV.

A full device test is automatically performed by the program-
mer/tester after a device is programmed. Therefore, if a de-
vice has been programmed successfully, there is no need to
test it. If a device is not operating properly, return it to Siemens
Industry, Inc.

Remove the device: no response necessary.

However, the following response can be entered:

C

-

The Programmer/Tester returns to the Power Up sequence.

Once the device is removed the Programmer/Tester automatically en-
ters Step 2. At this point, the next logical address in sequence will be
used.
