- The Programmer/Tester responds as follows:
1. If the device is a dual address device, and this is the second
of two addresses, it enters Step 4 for the first address.
2. In all other cases it remains in Step 3 for the current
address.
STEP 4 — SELECTING NORMALLY OPEN (NO) OR
NORMALLY CLOSED (NC) FOR TRI DEVICES
The display shows one of the following:

N.C. TRI?
(Where ** = the next logical address in sequence.)
(N.O. = normally open; N.C. = normally closed)
NOTE:
On the first entry to this step after power up, the first message
shown above is displayed. In all future entries, the NO/NC op-
tion selected for the last programmed device is displayed.
Respond:
YES
- The Programmer/Tester responds as follows:
1. If the device is a single address device, the Programmer/
Tester enters Step 5.
2. If the device is a dual address device, and this is the first
address entered, it returns to Step 3 for the second address.
3. If the device is a dual address device, and this is the second
of two addresses, it enters Step 5.
NO
- The Programmer/Tester alternates between the two messages
above each time
NO
is pressed.
