Maintenance and care
9.1
Regular thorough check
To ensure reliable operation of the driver assistance system, the front of the sensor
head must be checked for contamination daily and cleaned with a soft cloth if neces-
sary.
In areas that are heavily loaded with dust or particulate, the cooling ribs on the evalua-
tion unit should be cleaned at regular intervals.
Operating personnel must carry out a function test prior to every use.
9.2
Maintenance
Should the driver assistance system fail or malfunction, please contact the
manufacturer's service department.
Damaged cables or connectors must be replaced by the operator immediately.

Regularly check the screw terminals and the connections.

Clean the optical areas daily and whenever there is evidence of contamination.

Clean the housing with a soft cloth. Either use a dry cloth, or dampen it with luke-
warm water and a small amount of mild cleaning agent.

Clean the areas between the cooling ribs of the evaluation unit whenever there is
evidence of contamination.
