Ultimately an optional specification refers to the event (state / signal) triggering the configured
fault action. The trigger, if enabled, can be based on two different and independent types of
event; that is, a specific internal protocol state and / or an external signal, fed thru the BNC
connector.
The trigger setup can be done by using the following selectors placed in a panel on the right-
end-side:
The external trigger is disabled / enabled by means of the specific 2-way selector

The internal trigger is instead enabled when one internal protocol state is selected; that is, one
different than the topmost selection (OFF) disabling the specific trigger use.
Referring to the protocol states, a list with a short description follows:
