The meaning of each status bit is explained in detail in the HIPERFACE DSL
®
Manual.
For a quick overview the following common values are explained:
A value of “1003” or “5003” notifies the user of a positive HIPERFACE DSL
®
link status.
The value
“5003” also notifies that a warning or error bit is set in one of the eight
encoder status bytes
(ENC_ST0..7, found under “Remote Registers”).
Please note that the warning bit “Protocol Reset” is always set after establishing a
HIPERFACE DSL
®
link.
Values like
“1B00”, “3B00”, or “5B00” indicate that the HIPERFACE DSL
®
link is down.
