The
field displays the current counter state.
5.8.9.1.5
Saving the counter state permanently
Saving the counter state permanently
parameter is activated, the counter status
is automatically backed up in the flash memory every 6 minutes.
An additional manual backup can take place at any time via the
button.
The automatic backup function allows the counter status availability to be ensured – even
in the event of a brownout or device restart.
5.9
Analysis tools
folder contains parameter groups that are used to diagnose and analyze
the reading results.
5.9.1
Device time
Synchronization of the device time is defined on the
tab.
By entering a time source that the device can use to synchronize itself, it is possible to ob-
tain an exact analysis of the reading results after the recording period.
5.9.1.1
Device time
Synchronization of the device time is defined via the parameters in the
group.
By entering a time source that the device can use to synchronize itself, it is possible to ob-
tain an exact analysis of the reading results after the recording period.
The actual time on the connected reading device can be retrieved via the R
EQUEST
TIME
but-
ton.
5.9.1.1.1
Time source
The
parameter defines where the reading device obtains a time specification
for the synchronization.
• T
IME
SERVER
: The exact date and time are requested from a time server at regular intervals.
• M
ANUAL
INPUT
: A time entered on the user interface is used once to synchronize the device
time. The synchronization is triggered by the user via a button. When the device is switched
off, the device time is automatically reset to the most recent manually entered value.
It is recommended to use a time server for synchronization purposes as this setting
does not require the device time to be manually reentered after restarting the device.
5.9.1.1.2
Time server IP address
The
parameter is used to enter the server's IP address from which
the reading device obtains the time during synchronization. The user can initiate the first
synchronization process using the R
ETRIEVE
TIME
FROM
TIME
SERVER
button.
