3.7.4.24

Move to initialization position

Via a static or dynamic preset, an initialization value is specified as the distance output
value at an initialization position. This is helpful, for example, during maintenance,
commissioning or the replacement of gantry cranes and other rail vehicles.

The initialization value is defined via Module 26 - Preset.

The static preset is triggered by a correspondingly configured digital input. The digital
input is configured via Module 29 - I/O interface In1/Q1.

The dynamic preset is triggered via the PROFIBUS DP interface. This occurs via Module
27 - Dynamic Preset Trigger.

The triggering of the static or dynamic preset should be performed at a standstill or at
very low speeds. The determined offset value also remains following a restart.

Perform static preset

1.

In Module 26, the desired distance output value at the initialization position is
entered. Unit: mm

2.

Make the following parameter settings in Module 29:

°

“In1/Q1 Direction”: “Digital input”

°

“Active state”: set the desired status

°

“Input function”: “Preset trigger”

3.

Drive the vehicle to the initialization position.

4.

Trigger the static preset. To do so, activate the digital input In1/Q1, such as using
a proximity switch, a photoelectric sensor or a switch.

The distance output value of the distance sensor corresponds to the initialization
position of the initialization value.

Perform dynamic preset

1.

In Module 26, the desired distance output value at the initialization position is
entered. Unit: mm

2.

Drive the vehicle to the initialization position.

3.

Trigger the dynamic preset. To do so, change the value of bit 1 of the module
output data from 0 to 1 in Module 27.

The distance output value of the distance sensor corresponds to the initialization
position of the initialization value.

Disable the use of the preset value

Change the value of bit 0 of the distance output data from 0 to 1 in Module 27.

Set initialization value to 0

Via Module 27 - Dynamic Preset Trigger, the initialization value can be set to 0.

Drive the vehicle to the initialization position.

2.

Change the value of bit 2 of the module output data from 0 to 1 in Module 27.
