< Precautions Regarding the Over-Temperature Prevention Safety Interlock >
*
This product employs a PID controller to control temperature. PID control can cause the
current temperature to fluctuate near the set temperature even after the target temperature
has been reached. Therefore, it may trigger the over-temperature prevention function if the
over-temperature prevention temperature setting is too low.
*
During auto-tuning, the instrument makes the current temperature fluctuate near the set
temperature to decide an optimal PID constant, thus ensuring proper temperature
control. Therefore, it may trigger the over-temperature prevention function if the
over-temperature prevention temperature setting is too low.
*
During temperature control, sudden changes in room temperature or actions such as
removing the bell jar or increasing/decreasing the sample quantity in the bell jar may trigger
the over-temperature prevention function.
*
If auto-tuning has not been performed, temperature control may become unstable, and the
over-temperature prevention function may be activated.
< Resetting the Over-Temperature Prevention Safety Interlock
>
•
To resume normal temperature control after the over-temperature prevention function is
activated, the over-temperature prevention function must be reset.
To reset the over-temperature prevention function, switch the power OFF and then switch it
back ON.
If the reason the over-temperature prevention function was activated is not known, please
contact a Sibata representative for service.
