Up to eight slots are available for use with the sound-to-light features. Simply select a slot from the
first drop-down menu in the
Sound-to-Light Settings
area and then select the audio input or output
channels to use with that slot. You can then use any of those slots to trigger sound-to-light for
chases, ColorScene etc. as described throughout this manual.
Action Sub Group Settings
Exclusive letter groups for action buttons (as described in "Latch and Exclusive-letter Groups",
p.163) can be used so that any action button set to group
A
(for instance) will automatically turn off
any other action button set to
A
that may be running. This is a very useful feature for ensuring that
only one of a group of action buttons can be running at any one time. What if, however, you want to
set up the action buttons so that the running of a single action button can automatically turn off
action buttons of it’s own group but also turn off other action buttons of different exclusive letter
groups as well?
The
Action Sub Group Settings
menu can be used to select
what other letter groups (sub-groups) will be turned off when an
action button set to it’s own group (main group) is turned on.
Click on the
Action Sub Group Settings
item on the
Options
menu (or double-click on the blue group letter on the action
panel) and a dialogue box will appear.
If you tick
Main Group
A
, tick
Sub Group
B
,
C
and
D
and click
on
OK
, any action buttons set to
A
will turn off action buttons set
to
A
, BUT they will also now turn off any other action buttons
that are set to groups
B
,
C
or
D
.
Action Sub Group Settings
dialogue box
You can also select a double-letter group for action buttons such as
Aa
,
Az
,
Bc
,
Bx
etc. This means
that you have access to more than 26 groups (
A
to
Z
) with the action button exclusive letter group
feature. In fact you have access to 676 different groups! You also have another level of sub group
control because a single letter group
A
will turn off any other single group
A
- but in addition a
single letter group
A
will also turn off any other double-letter groups starting with
A
e.g.
Aa
,
Az
etc.
If, as in the example above, you have used the
Action Sub Group Settings
dialogue box to tick
Main
Group
A
, and tick
Sub Group
B
,
C
and
D
then any action button set to
A
will turn of any other
action buttons set to
A
, any double-letter groups starting with
A
, any actions set to
B
,
C
or
D
and
any double-letter groups starting with
B
,
C
or
D
.
DMX Settings
Selecting this menu item will display a
Dmx Settings
dialogue box.
