SD Card Replacement Procedure

Document Solution Centre

Only limited data that is stored on the CF Card can be backed up and reinstalled following replacement or
CF card failure. If the CF Card is operating normally before replacement, backup the data and then
reinstall the data onto the replacement CF Card.

Replacement Procedure:

When replacing the CF card, be sure to use the specified CF card supplied as a service part only.

The firmware required for booting the MFP device must be included on the CF card that is used in
this machine - Commercially available CF cards do not have this firmware data.

1.

Use SIM56-02 to backup the CF card data to the USB memory.

2.

When the operation panel home screen has been customised, backup the CF card data by using
the device cloning function.

3.

Replace the CF card with a new one.

4.

Upgrade the firmware to the latest version.

5.

Use SIM56-02 to restore the data backed up in procedure 1.

6.

Restore the data backed up in procedure 2 by using the device cloning function.

Note:

•

If E7-A6 trouble occurs and the error cannot be cancelled, this may indicate an issue or failure of
the CF Card – replace the CF Card by following the procedure detailed above.
