10 Problems encountered in installation
Please read this chapter through in full before you call SENEC technical support.
Fault
Cause
Battery not working
•
Battery modules have been stored for too long and have deep discharged
•
Communication lines are not laid correctly between the battery modules
•
DC cabling is not properly seated on the terminals
AC connection
•
The power flow direction sensor has been fitted the wrong way round (input
is top, output is below - Exception: power flow direction sensor 3)
•
Phase 1 was applied to the neutral conductor
•
Neutral conductor has not yet been connected
•
Power flow direction sensor 2 (if fitted) was fitted at the wrong place
•
Phases were not connected to the AC connection on the SENEC.Home Li
in a clockwise direction
Data link
•
Use of a crossover cable instead of a CAT6 cable
•
Data cable has a kink and is not sending any data
•
RS485 address of the SENEC.Home Li and inverter do not match
•
Application sequence at the inverter is swapped
•
Pin assignment is incorrect
Capacity insufficient
•
No or poor contact between terminals and connection rails through terminal
connectors
Local Monitoring is not
available
•
where Econamic Grid is used: SENEC.Home Li communicates via the VPN
router through a VPN tunnel -> local monitoring cannot be called
Mains draw below 1 kWh,
although current is avail-
able
•
The SENEC.Home Li has a switch-on threshold of 70 W and only reacts
once domestic consumption is sufficient
Online monitoring data is
incomplete
•
Probably no permanent connection to Internet
PV power is not displayed
(connection variant 1)
•
Connection between PV inverter<-> SENEC.Home Li is faulty
•
Reset the RS485 address on the PV inverter and on the SENEC.Home Li
•
Check in the configuration wizard whether the House power meter (“Leis-
tungsmesser Haus”) is unchecked as you are using connection variant 1
PV power is not displayed
(connection variant 2 or 3)
•
Check in the configuration wizard whether the House power meter (“Leis-
tungsmesser Haus”) is checked
SENEC.Inverter will not
start
•
No or poor contact between terminals and connection rails through terminal
connectors
•
Battery cells deep discharged
•
Please contact SENEC telephone support if it does not start despite an
adequate supply voltage.
