CAUTION:

You should not set main

battery selector switch to the BOTH
position when the engine is not run-
ning. If one battery is low, that bat-
tery will drain the other good one,
even though no accessories are
turned on.

With the 240 engine, the position of
the battery selector switch also deter-
mines which battery is being charged
when the engine is running.

Position 1 will charge battery no. 1.

Position 2 will charge battery no. 2.

Position BOTH will charge both batter-
ies simutaneously.

CAUTION:

Stop engine before switch-

ing OFF.

It is recommended to set in the OFF
position whenever performing mainte-
nance in the engine compartment, on
the electrical system, for transporta-
tion and for short term storage on the
trailer.

CAUTION:

Bear in mind that when

the switch is turned OFF while craft is
moored, the bilge pump will not
start if water comes up in the bilge.
