Function Buttons
Function Buttons
This summary of the operation of the function buttons. Some buttons
have a secondary use, as indicated below.
Forward
Forward
1 Redirects incoming calls to your extension to
another extension of your choice. Can be set up
from your terminal or from a remote terminal.
2 User to enter an Account Code whilst making an
external call.
Confer
Confer
1 Sets up a three-party conference call, with two other
extensions or another extension and an external
line.
2 Used in the Storing Last Number Dialled procedure.
No Calls
No Calls
1 Enables you to prevent incoming calls ringing your
extension. Callers receive Number Unobtainable
tone.
2 Used to Lock or Unlock a terminal against
unauthorised personnel making external calls.
Group
Group
Enables you to join or leave your previously allocated
external call group. Not operative if you are the last
remaining member of a Night Service Group.
Intrude
Intrude
1 Enables you to intrude into an established
conversation. Polite Intrusion
Polite Intrusion allows you to speak
when invited, but not to break into or hear the
existing conversation. Forced Intrusion
Forced Intrusion (available to
terminals with Executive/Operator Status only)
allows you to force a three party call.
2 Used in the procedure to change a passcode.
Call Back
Call Back
Causes your terminal to ring when a previously busy
extension becomes free.
Camp On
Camp On
Causes a busy terminal to ring once, notifying the
speaker that you need to talk to them. When they
become free, both terminals ring.
Divert
Divert
Can be used to divert calls to a new extension number;
to divert calls if you are busy; or to divert calls when
you do not answer within a preset time.
Pick-up
Pick-up
Enables you to answer a call ringing at another
terminal. Can extend to multiple terminals or can be
limited to selected terminals.
Mute
Mute
Whilst held down, prevents the other party being able to
hear what you say. You can still hear them.
