Exterior Equipment

WARNING

THE BEACH PLATFORM SHOULD BE RAISED AND THE GATE
CLOSED WHENEVER THE ENGINES ARE RUNNING.  NEVER
LOWER PLATFORM OR OPEN THE GATE WHILE UNDERWAY
OR IN ROUGH SEA CONDITIONS.  IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS,
A LOWERED PLATFORM COULD ALLOW A SUBSTANTIAL
AMOUNT OF WATER TO ENTER THE COCKPIT CREATING A
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITION.  THE PLATFORM
COULD ALSO BE DAMAGED BY EXCESSIVE WATER PRESSURE
WHILE UNDERWAY OR BY WAVE ACTION IN ROUGH SEAS.

WARNING

OPERATING THE BOAT UNDER POWER WITH THE BEACH
PLATFORM LOWERED MAY ALLOW PERSONS TO FALL
OVERBOARD AND INTO BOAT PROPELLERS OR TO BE LOST IN
OPEN WATER. ALWAYS CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE PLATFORM
IS RAISED AND THE GATE IS CLOSED BEFORE STARTING THE
ENGINES. NEVER OPERATE THE BOAT UNDER POWER WITH
THE GATE OPEN AND/OR THE PLATFORM DOWN.

Boarding Ladder

A telescoping boarding ladder is recessed into the

beach platform. To use the ladder, make sure the

engines are shutdown and lower the platform.

Pull the ladder out from the platform and extend

it to the full down position. The ladder must be

retracted and pushed into the recess before rais-

ing the platform.

WARNING

MOVING PROPELLERS ARE DANGEROUS.  THEY CAN CAUSE
DEATH, LOSS OF LIMBS, OR OTHER SEVERE INJURY.  DO NOT
USE THE BEACH PLATFORM OR BOARDING LADDER WHILE
AN ENGINE IS RUNNING.  STOP THE ENGINES IF DIVERS OR
SWIMMERS ARE ATTEMPTING TO BOARD.  ALWAYS RETRACT
THE LADDER, RAISE THE PLATFORM AND CLOSE THE GATE
BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINES.

Transom Door and Gate

A door and gate is incorporated into the starboard

side of the transom. The gate is hinged and is

opened by lifting the starboard side. The transom

door can be opened when the gate is open or

closed. It is secured by a special latch mounted

on the inboard side of the door. The door latch

has a push button safety pin. When the transom

door is closed, make sure the latch is completely

engaged and that the safety pin is engaged to

prevent the latch from opening accidentally.

The transom door and gate should only be opened

when the boat is not underway. The door and

gate must be latched in the full closed position

whenever the boat is underway. Never leave the

transom door unlatched.

Notice:

Periodically inspect the transom door and

gate fittings for wear, damage or loose fit.

Any problems should be inspected and cor-

rected immediately.
