FRESH WATER SYSTEM

7.1 General

The fresh water system consists of a potable water

tank, distribution lines and two distribution pumps.

Each pump is equipped with an automatic pressure

switch and is located in a compartment behind

the aft head compartment bulkhead. The tank

is located below the port side of the cabin berth.

Shutoff valves on the cold and hot water manifolds

near the pumps and water tank enable the opera-

tor to turn off individual water lines if necessary.

CAUTION

DO NOT FILL SYSTEM WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN WATER.
SHOULD THE SYSTEM BECOME CONTAMINATED WITH FUEL
OR OTHER TOXIC FLUIDS, COMPONENT REPLACEMENT MAY
BE NECESSARY.

WARNING

DO NOT CONFUSE FUEL FILL DECK PLATES WITH THE
WATER OR WASTE FILL DECK PLATES.  THESE PLATES ARE
LABELED ACCORDINGLY.  IF GASOLINE OR DIESEL FUEL IS
ACCIDENTALLY PUMPED INTO THE WATER OR WASTE TANK,
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PUMP IT OUT YOURSELF.  WATER AND
WASTE PUMPS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO PUMP FUEL AND
A FIRE OR EXPLOSION COULD RESULT.  CONTACT YOUR
DEALER OR THE SCOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT
FOR ASSISTANCE IN HAVING THE FUEL PROFESSIONALLY
REMOVED AND COMPONENTS OF THE FRESH WATER SYSTEM
REPLACED AS NECESSARY.

7.2 Fresh Water System Operation

Fill the water supply tank slowly through the

labeled deck plate located on the port forward

gunnel. After filling the water tank, partially open

all faucets. The Fresh Water Pumps should be

activated with the CZone control feature. Allow

the pumps to run until all of the air is purged from

the system and a steady stream of water is flow

-

ing from each outlet. Next, turn off the faucets

one by one. As the pressure builds, the pumps

will automatically shut off.

When properly primed and activated, the water

system will operate much like the water system
