5. Cleaning and maintaining.
5.3.1 Maintenance specifications
• Basic cleaning according to manufacturer instructions
- The systems must not be exposed directly to the jet of a
high-pressure cleaner. Connection cables must remain
plugged in during cleaning to prevent any water ingress.
- Pay special attention to the tube-in-tube connections. To ensure
that the pre-greased inner tube remains greased, the actuator may
only be cleaned if the piston rod is retracted completely.
• Disinfect according to the manufacturer's specifications as required
• Damages to the frame, mounting parts and accessories (cracks, breaks,
corrosion, bent or missing parts)
• Tightness of connections (tighten loose screws, replace missing screws
and end caps)
• Functionality of the adjustment elements (screws, release lever)
• Functionality of other adjustment elements (upper body support,
headrest, all pelotte pads, footrests, table & guides in the leg area, tilt)
• Functionality of the gas pressure springs (if necessary readjustment of
the bowden cables)
• If required, visual inspection of the electrical components including the
wiring for damage
• Functionality of the safety elements (safety bolts of the tilt)
• Check the grip tape and the rubberised elements for wear and anti-slip
effect
• Functionality of the brakes (parking brakes)
• Functionality of the rollers (concentricity, smooth running)
• Check the harness for damage (clamping device, closures, seams)
• Check the pads and covers for damage
• Legibility of the type label
• Final complete functional check of the aid
• Check of the correct mounting of all attachment parts and accessories
• Electrical components:
- Check mounting points, cores, housings and plugs
- Check the connections, cables, housings and plugs as well as
correct functioning
- For actuators/lifting columns, the mounting points, cores, piston rod,
housings and plugs as well as correct functioning must be checked
- Complete charging of the battery pack
- The control unit is sealed and maintenance-free
