4.5. Flex vent installation
1. Place the insert in front of the fireplace.
2. Route the flex vents through the chimney from above. (Leave an extra 3 ft. at the top).
3. Pull out the flex vents and attach them to the co-linear manifold. (Seal with silicone and use insulation
clamps to secure the flex vent). See Figure 7.
4. Slide the insert into place. (If the space is limited over the manifold, tilt the insert as shown).
5. While working on 4, have a partner pull on the excess flex vent. Use a rope to temporarily attach the flex
vent to the top of the chimney. (Leave extra slack).
6. When the insert is in place, remove the slack from the flex vent.
7. Attach the vent termination.
