Using the controller
8.1
General information
The EQJW 145 controller is used for weather-compensated flow temperature
control of a heating circuit. An additional room temperature connection is
possible. The controller changes the operating status in accordance with the
switching commands that are entered, on a time-dependent basis. In
addition, hot water preparation can be controlled.
It has an anti-frost function, an automatic summer time changeover, an anti-
jamming feature for the pump and a floor drying function. A communication
interface allows connections with other devices and with a Modbus control
station (also via modem), or automatic transmission of fault messages to a
mobile phone as SMS messages via modem. Two rotary switches allow
immediate mode changes and direct access to the main settings. An input
knob makes it easy to change the device's settings.
This application requires an additional safety thermostat.
Before the installation is commissioned, the slope of the characteristic and
the flow temperature limit must always be checked.
Depending on the application, the following settings are recommended:

necessarily the ideal solutions for every installation. No liability is accepted
for the values indicated here

Examples of use
Some typical and common applications for the control models stored in the
EQJW 145 are described below. However, not all of the heating controller's
capabilities are described. By parameterising accordingly, further applications
can be included, enabling the equitherm EQJW 145 to be adapted to a wide
range of installations.
