You can control sounds and display behaviour.

Description

Sound settings

Silent mode

Mute all sounds except alarm tones.

Notification
sound

Set a tone alert for events, such as when you
activate the Bluetooth feature or receive new
messages.

Notification
volume

Adjust the volume for event notifications.

Media volume

Adjust the volume of music and videos.

System volume

Adjust the volume for player system sound.

Audible
selection

Set a tone to sound when you tap the touch
screen.

SD card

Set a tone to sound when you insert or remove a
memory card.

Description

Display settings

Orientation

Set to automatically rotate the display when you
rotate the player.

Animation

Set to display animation when you switch
between windows.

Brightness

Adjust the brightness of the screen.

Screen timeout

Set the length of time before the display backlight
automatically turns off. When the backlight turns
off, the touch screen is locked. See "Lock or
unlock the touch screen" on page 16.

Note

If you connect earphones to your player when the volume
level is over 16 in Speaker mode, the player automatically
decreases the volume level to 15 to protect your hearing.
