Faults and fault rectification

Check any faults in the appliance against the following table:

Fault

Possible cause

Action

The green indicator
light does not illumi­
nate when switched
on.

Main switch before appliance
not turned on.

Turn on main switch.

There is no power supply at
all.

Inform the power supply company.

Mains fuse has tripped.

Possible faults on the appliance must
be checked by an authorised Customer
Service agent.
Reset the circuit breaker.

The appliance does
not heat up and the
yellow indicator light
is off.

The safety temperature limiter
has tripped.

Check to make sure that the tank is
sufficiently filled with deep-frying oil/fat.
Allow the appliance to cool.

WARNING! Fire danger!

 Do not switch

the safety temperature limiter back on
until the cause of the failure has been
rectified.
Push in the switch knob. Contact the
authorized Customer Service if the
fault recurs.
