1.2.2.- Battery cabinet.
Under request, the UPS can be supplied with the suitable batteries to have the wanted back up time.
The batteries are built in a separate cabinet and they have their own protection and breaking devices.
Due to their external location, it is a must to foresee their protection.
1.2.3.- Transformer cabinet.
The galvanic isolation transformer is built in a separate cabinet (output -rectifier mains -bypass mains) for specific uses.
The standard transformer is three phase/three phase with ratio 1:1, but it can be supplied with different ratio, depending on the
customer needs.
1.2.4.- Remote communication card.
The UPS can be monitored through the
remote communication card (CS0098).
This monitoring can be done either through
a PC with a specific software connected
to CN3, or through the dry contacts
located in the terminal strip M1. The
system already has a remote
communication card and a slot to place
an optional one, if it is requested (for
more information, see chapter 2.7.-
Auxiliary connections of the UPS).
1.2.5.- UPS management software.
The monitoring software Generex “UPS MANAGEMENT” allows to
communicate the UPS with a PC or with an IT network, which runs
under Windows, Win-NT, Novell, OS2, Dec or Lynux platforms.
This software allows the control of one or several UPS used in the
same IT network (LAN) of personal computers (For more information,
see chapter 2.7.- Auxiliary connections of the UPS).
1.2.6.- Remote panel.
The remote panel allows displaying the operation of the UPS remotely,
by repeating the status of the main stages with LED indicators and
an acoustic alarm. (For more information, see chapter 2.7.- Auxiliary

1.2.7.- Remote E.P.O. button.
The remote E.P.O. button is a safety system that allows shutting
down the UPS completely in case of an emergency. (For more
