the non-interrupted power supply to the loads is not guaranteed.
3. Turn off the OUTPUT SWICTH I4.
The loads are not fed.
4. Turn off the INPUT BYPASS (RESERVE) SWITCH I2.
5. Turn off the INPUT MAINS SWITCH I1.
6. Turn off the Battery switch.
4.8.- Emergency Power Off (E.P.O.).
The emergency shutdown has as a target to shutdown the UPS completely in case it is needed by turning off the static
switch, both the one of the mains and the one of the inverter. This way, the loads are not supplied.
Obviously, inside the UPS there are still hazardous voltages.
4.9.- Instructions to start up the UPS in ECONOMY mode.
This procedure must be done to put in service the UPS. It will be started up without any power supply.
Before proceeding, be sure that the system and all the electrical connections have been checked by authorised personal and
the external switches are all turned on.
Check the MANUAL BYPASS SWITCH I3 is turned OFF and mechanically locked (padlocked).
BE SURE THAT THE PHASE ROTATION OF THE INPUT AND BYPASS MAINS ARE CORRECT.
See fig. 4.3 to know the meaning of each switch.
Once the above steps are checked, the system can be started up in Economy mode as follows:
1. Turn on the INPUT BYPASS SWITCH (RESERVE) I2.
The LCD panel and the control of the UPS starts to run (to disable the guided procedures, which is proposed by default by
the UPS and to have access to the normal operating mode, press the key MENU).
If the power supply of the bypass mains (reserve) is correct, the fans of the heat exchanger are turned on.
2. Turn on the OUTPUT SWITCH of UPS I4.
This way, the loads connected to the OUTPUT of the UPS are fed.
3. Turn on the INPUT MAINS SWITCH I1.
Wait for 10 seconds; after that the rectifier will start up with a walk-in time in order to pre-charge the internal capacitors
avoiding any overcurrent at the input mains.
From now on the UPS doesn’t have any hazardous voltages, less in both the input /output terminals, which
are protected with a cover, and the DC and AC capacitors of the inverter, which have energy during some
minutes and to access to them a metallic panel must be removed.
