2.7.- Auxiliary connections of the UPS.
The communication cards are placed over the UPS switches.
The standard configuration is based on remote communication card (CS0098) and one slot ready to located the SNMP card.
There is the possibility, under request, to install an additional and optional remote communication card (CS0098) (fig.2.7.1a).
The connection of these cards is located in the rear side of the UPS (fig.2.7.1b)
2.7.1.- Remote communication card.
This card allows the connection of the UPS with several external devices.
The card has a terminal strip with dry contacts (M1) where it can connected the following: a remote panel (chapter.2.7.2),
acoustic buzzers or visual indicators or signalling systems
Through other two contacts (CN1), it is possible to connect one or more remote E.P.O. buttons (chapter 2.7.4).
Lastly, the equipment can be connected to a PC with its corresponding monitoring software through a DB9 connector (CN3)
