Events
are shown on as many
screens as there are recorded events. Results include
event type, event duration, and time stamp. Event
types can be:

IS — In_SYNC
•
RS — SYNC Recovered
•
SL — Signal Lost, SYNC Lost
•
SR — Signal Recovered
•
PL — Packet/Frame Loss
•
PS — Packet/Frame Slip (Delay Variation)
•
VC — Voice Clip
•
NH — Noise Hit
•
DC — Detection of Clock Drift
FAXTX
You can view the test result message.
•
Passed — The fax message was satisfactorily
received by the answering fax machine.
•
CED length — The duration of the fax answer
tone (2100 Hz) falls outside the valid range of
2.6s to 4.0s. The answering device may be an
invalid fax machine or the communication link has squelched out a portion of the
CED tone.
•
CED/DIS Detect T/O (CED or DIS detection time out) — The Sage fax emulator has
not detected a valid CED tone (fax answer tone) or DIS packet (digital identification
signal, which contains the capabilities of the fax machine) from the answering device
within 15 seconds after call establishment. The called terminal may not be a valid fax
machine or the communication link has distorted the CED and DIS signals.
