If it moves more than 2.5 cm (1 in.),
you can try:

Putting your knee in the seat and pulling the belt tighter.
B.
Reinstalling the child restraint.
C.
Changing to a different seating location.
D.
Switching to the UAS belt installation if UAS anchors are
available in your vehicle.

Check Belt Tightness
Hold child restraint at the belt
path with your weaker hand.
Push and pull from side to side.
It should not move more than
2.5 cm
(1 in.).
Finished!
Check the tightness of the install
often to make sure it has not
loosened.
Securing Child in Car Seat
To properly secure your child in the
car seat, see pages 53-55.
Check your child’s fi t often and make
any needed adjustments to the car
seat as they grow.
Do not use the UAS anchors of the child restraint anchorage
system (UAS) to attach this child restraint when restraining
a child weighing more than 18 kg (40 lbs).
