As the cables pass the RHS of the headstock, Conti. GT
650 passes the throttle cables inboard of the harness
(see “Fig 1-2”), but Interceptor - 650 passes the throttle
cables outboard of the harness (see “Fig 1-3").
The throttle cables run down the RHS of the
motorcycle, inboard of the fuel tank, next to the main
frame, until they enter the throttle bodies as shown in
“Fig 1-4 “. A groove in the cable guide indicates the rear
cable where they mount to the throttle body, this is
shown in “Fig 1-5”.

As the clutch cable routes around the front of the
headstock, on Conti. GT 650 it passes above the front
brake hose (see “Fig 2-3”), but on Interceptor 650 it
passes below the front brake hose (see “Fig 2-4”).
2. CLUTCH CABLE ROUTING
The clutch cable is not common between Conti. GT 650
and Interceptor 650 - each model has a different cable
which is indicated by an identification mark. This cable
is routed beneath the instrument bracket LHS and
routes around the front of the headstock.
