To run in DHCP Mode
If you wish to run in DHCP mode only, set
SW1
to
UP
and
SW2
to
DOWN
.
To run in Static Mode
1. Set
SW1
to
UP
and
SW2
to
UP
.
2. Configure the new settings as outlined in the section “
Custom User Configuration via DashBoard
To verify the IP address of the MC1-PANEL-16
1. Verify that the correct IP address is reported on the MC1-PANEL-16 LCD Display.
2. Ensure that the MC1-PANEL-16 displays in the Tree View of DashBoard.
3. Verify that the information reported in the Ethernet tab is correct:
a. Select the
Configuration
node to display the interface in the right-half of DashBoard.
b. Select the
Ethernet
tab.
c. Ensure the fields in the
Ethernet
tab are reporting the correct settings.
Troubleshooting
If the MC1-PANEL-16 has been previously setup, but you cannot get to the IP address (or it is on the wrong subnet)
reported on the chassis display:
1. Set
SW1
to
UP
and
SW2
to
DOWN
(DHCP mode).
2. Verify that the MC1-PANEL-16 IP address is reported on the chassis display.
3. Launch DashBoard.
4. Verify that the MC1-PANEL-16 displays in the Tree View.
5. If the MC1-PANEL-16 is displayed in DashBoard:
a. Set
SW1
to
UP
and
SW2
to
UP
(Custom User mode).
b. Configure the new settings as outlined in the section “
Custom User Configuration via DashBoard
6. If you still cannot establish a connection to the MC1-PANEL-16:
a. Set
SW1
and
SW2
to one of the Preset Configurations. Refer to
for switch positions.
Preset Configuration using the DIP Switches
Custom User Configuration via DashBoard
Once communication is established with the MC1-PANEL-16, the network settings may be adjusted using the
following procedure. Note that the steps are optional, you may perform as many, or as few, as needed.
Some settings may require that you configure a DIP Switch before proceeding. Refer to the section “
” on page 20 for details.
To configure the network settings via DashBoard
1. From the
Tree View
, expand the node for the MC1-PANEL-16 you want to access.
2. Select the
Configuration
node to display the interface in the right-half of DashBoard.
3. Select the
Ethernet
tab.
