MC1-PANEL-16 User Guide (v4.0)

Operation

This chapter provides a summary of how to perform on the MC1-PANEL-16 such as: transitions and keying. Before 
performing any of the tasks in this chapter, ensure the MC1-PANEL-16 is not locked.

Active Channel On Air Control Interface

When a 

Channel

 button on the MC1-PANEL-16 is selected and communicating with an MC1-MK card (channel), 

the 

Active Channel On Air Control 

interface that displays in DashBoard mimics that MC1-MK card’s On Air 

Control interface. You must have at least one channel configured before accessing the Active Channel On Air 
Control interface.

To access the Active Channel On Air Control interface

1. Ensure that you are running DashBoard software version 6.2.0 or higher. The software and 

DashBoard User 

Guide

 are available from the Ross Video website.

2. Launch DashBoard by double-clicking its icon on your desktop.

3. Locate the MC1-PANEL-16 in the 

Tree View

 of DashBoard. If the MC1-PANEL-16 node does not appear, 

consult the 

DashBoard User Guide

.

4. From the 

Tree View

, expand the node for the MC1-PANEL-16 you wish to access.

5. Verify that an MC1-MK card is assigned to the Channel 1 button.

6. Select the 

Active Channel On Air Control

 node to display the interface in the right-half of DashBoard. 

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to launch the 

Active Channel On Air Control

 interface in DashBoard, and instead encounter the 

message “

Waiting to Locate

”, your MC1-PANEL-16 is unable to establish communications with each 

MC1-MK card assigned to a channel for the panel. Verify that each MC1-MK card you assigned to a channel 
displays in the Tree View of DashBoard. If they are not listed, you must re-establish communications between the 
MC1-MK cards and the MC1-PANEL-16.
