QuadraVista QF Manual

Appendix F. Firmware Update

The following are needed to perform a firmware update.

■

A computer with a free USB or RS 232 COM-port;

■

the included “serial cable” (RJ45-DB9 a RJ45 CAT5 cable) described in Appendix D,

■

the QuadraVista QF unit; and

■

the firmware executable file with the firmware to be uploaded; and

Set up connections between the computer and unit using the cable in the manner described in Installing the

ConfDev Program found on page 84.

Launch the executable firmware file. This will open up the

Update

window. Select the COM port the unit is

connected to, and press the

Update

button.

LEDs 1-4 on the unit’s front panel will flash blue during the update. Additionally, the

Update

window shows the

progress of the firmware upgrade.
