Step 2.
Power on the Raid
The Raid should be powered on before the host computer(s). To
power on the Raid please follow the description below.
Using the power cords provided in the package, connect both
power sockets on the subsystem rear panel to the main power
source.
Snap the cord retainers into place to secure power cord
connection.
Turn the two (2) power switches on. (See
Figure 4-1
) Each
switch controls a single PSU, therefore make sure that both
switches are turned on.

CAUTION!
Although the PSUs are redundant and a single PSU can provide
sufficient power to the subsystem, it is advisable to turn both the power
switches on. If only one (1) PSU is operating and that PSU fails, the
whole system will shut down.
Step 3.
Power on the host computers
The host computers should be the last devices that are turned on.
Please refer to the documentation that came with your host
computers to see their own power-on procedures.
4.1.3 Power On Status Check
Once the Raid has been powered on, the status of the entire subsystem
should be checked to ensure that everything is running smoothly and that
there are no complications or malfunctions.

The Controller Ready LED should all light

after the power-on self-test is completed.
