Safety Precautions
5-3
(BBU) CERTIFIED BY RORKE DATA, INC. DISPOSE OF USED
BATTERIES PROPERLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE REGULATIONS BY YOUR
LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
6.
Keep the GALAXY RAID subsystem from 90% humidity.
7.
Lay the GALAXY RAID subsystem on a reliable surface when
servicing individual modules. A drop or fall could cause injury.
8.
Make sure the voltage of the power source is within the rated values
printed on a label attached to the power supply units before connecting
the GALAXY RAID subsystem to the power outlet. You may also
refer to the Appendix A of this manual for technical details.
9.
Carefully route the power cords or other interface cabling away from
foot traffic. Do not place anything over the power cords. The power
cords must be rated for the product and for the voltage and current
marked on the product’s electrical ratings label. The voltage and current
rating of the power cord should be greater than the voltage and current
rating marked on the product.
10.
All cautions and warnings on the GALAXY RAID subsystem should be
noted.
11.
If the GALAXY RAID subsystem is going to be left unused for a long
time, disconnect the equipment from mains to avoid being damaged by
transient over-voltage.
12.
Never pour any liquid into ventilation openings; this could cause fire or
electrical shock.
13.
Never open the GALAXY RAID subsystem. For safety reasons, only
qualified service personnel could access the interior of the subsystem.
14.
If one of the following situations arises, get the equipment checked by
service personnel:
a.
Any of the power cords or plugs is damaged.
b.
Liquid has penetrated into the GALAXY RAID subsystem.
c.
The equipment has been exposed to moisture.
d.
The subsystem has not work well or you cannot get it work
according to this manual.
e.
The subsystem has dropped and been damaged.
f.
The subsystem shows obvious signs of breakage.
