Pull the master fader all the way down.

Connect your instrument or mic to the INPUT jack.
Howling could be produced depending on the location of micro-
phones relative to speakers. This can be remedied by:
1. Changing the orientation of the microphone(s).
2. Relocating microphone(s) at a greater distance from speakers.
3. Lowering volume levels.
When connecting a electric guitar
In order to record the electric guitar with the best possible sound quality, please use an
active-type guitar. Alternatively, use a direct box (such as the BOSS DI-1) or a com-
pact-type effect unit.
In this case, the compact effect unit will be used to lower the impedance. Thus, turn
the power on and the effect off if you do not need to use the effect.
