When you first take your Trac‐It unit out of the box, you must charge it using the mains charger
provided in the box, for 12 to 24 hours. This will ensure there is enough charge in the units’ battery
when you come to install it, and setup your tracking portal.
Subscriptions explained
In order for Trac‐It to work, you need to pay an ongoing subscription to cover the cost of data
transfers between your Trac‐It unit and the Trac‐It computer servers. The unit has a built in SIM card
as well as a GPS receiver in order for it to be tracked effectively, and when the unit ‘talks’ to the
computer servers to update its location on the Trac‐It system, a cost is incurred with the network
provider. Your Trac‐It unit can ‘speak’ to the Trac‐It computer servers hundreds and even thousands
of times every month. Purchasing options are as follows:
• Annually up‐front for one, two or three year periods

Please Note: Is very important you have an up‐to‐date subscription otherwise your Trac‐It unit
will not alert you if a theft occurs, and you will not be able to access your Trac‐It portal.
All historical journey information will also be lost should you let your subscriptions lapse.
