Using the ‘where are you now’ feature
When Trac‐It is set to ‘armed’, it updates its position from once every four hours to once a day, with
the Trac‐It servers (depending on what operating setting you have chosen). If you have not used the
item being tracked and (hopefully) you have not received an alert message, you may wish to manually
update its position and not wait until the next time it automatically updates. To do this, click on
‘Where are you now?’ within the information box for your tracked item (number 11 on the Trac‐It
portal overview above).
This feature has been installed on the system to give you that extra peace of mind. Figure 1.5 shows
how the ‘where are you now’ command confirmation is displayed.
