Testing the Vacuum System – F-Test Manual Operation
To manually test the vacuum system, the vacuum digital output can be turned on using the
function F-Test. F-Test allows the operator or technician to view inputs and outputs.
Note: Use caution when turning on machine outputs, this should only be done by trained personnel.
Note: Older software versions will be displayed in German, translations will be required.
If you would like to turn on the vacuum system manually;
1.
From any screen, press [ALT-F1] F-Test.
2.
Select the outputs (Ausgange) tab.
3.
Press [Shift-F7] Forcen. The button should highlight and appear depressed.
4.
Locate the output for Vacuum On (Spänesauger Ein) and select that line item.
5.
Toggle the output using the associated F-Keys.
When you close the F-test screen, all over-rides will be reverted to normal operation.
Spindle
The Spindle usually requires minimal maintenance however the areas below can reduce
possible problems.
3.6.1
Spindle Chuck
The spindle chuck can retain oil, dust and small metal particles. Polishing the chuck with a
soft cloth and a degreaser will remove any buildups that can collect during usage and tool
changes.
Note: Be sure to cover the spindle chuck when cleaning near the spindle. If possible, use the shipping
cover provided with the machine to cover the opening. If the shipping cover is not available, cover
with a soft cloth.
