User’s Guide for VS5000 Series

Trigger Holdoff

Use Trigger Holdoff to stabilize a complex waveform, such as a pulse range. Holdoff
time is the oscilloscope’s waiting period before starting a new trigger. During Holdoff,
oscilloscope will not trigger until Holdoff ends. For instance: To trigger on the first
pulse on a group of them, users can set the holdoff time to Pulse cluster width.

To use trigger Holdoff:

1.

Turn on the Trigger window, and go to the Trigger functions Menu.

2.

Click the corresponding menu to set the trigger settings.

3.

Click the left and the right arrow (

) button to change Holdoff time until

waveform is stable.

4.

Click the circular button (

) could reset the Holdoff time to its default value.
