1.8 Temporary switch-off
In the event of a temporary absence,
weekends, short journeys and so on:
Press . The display will visualise the
words “ENERGY FOR LIFE” and the an-
ti-freeze icon.
In this way (leaving the electricity and
fuel supplies enabled), the boiler is pro-
tected by the following systems:
Antifreeze: when the boiler water tem-
perature falls to 7°C, the circulator is ac-
tivated and, if necessary, also the burn-
er (at the minimum output) to bring the
water temperature back within the safe-
ty values (35°C).
The icon will flash on the display, in-
dicating that the anti-freeze function is
active.
Circulator antiblocking: an operation cy-
cle is activated every 24 h.
1.9 Switching off for lengthy
periods
If the boiler is not used for a long period,
carry out the following operations:
− Press . The display will visualise
the words “ENERGY FOR LIFE” and
the anti-freeze icon.
− Close the fuel and water taps of
the heating and domestic hot wa-
ter system.

In this case, the anti-freeze and an-
ti-blocking systems are deactivated.
Drain the heating and domestic water
system if there is any risk of freezing.
