1.4 Commissioning
The first start up of the FAMILY boiler
should be carried out by the r Tech-
nical Assistance Centre after which the
boiler will be able to operate automat-
ically. It may, however, be necessary
to restart FAMILY without involving the
Technical Assistance Centre: for exam-
ple after a lengthy period of absence.
In such cases, the following checks and
operations must be carried out:
− Make sure that the fuel taps and
the heating system shut-off taps
are open.
− Check the operating conditions of
the consumption water filtering
and/or treatment appliances
− When powered, the boiler per-
forms a sequence of checks, and a
series of numbers and letters will
appear on the display, after which
it will go into standby.
− The boiler switches back on in the
status it occupied before switch-off.
− If the boiler was in the heating
function when it was switched off,
it will switch back on in that func-
tion. If it was OFF, the display will
visualise the words ENERGY FOR LIFE.
− Press the key to activate oper-
ation.
− On the digital display check that
the pressure of the cold hydraulic
circuit is always between 1 bar and
1.5 bar.
− Adjust the ambient thermostat to
the desired temperature (~20°C)
or, if the system is equipped with
a programmable timer, make sure
it is "active" and adjusted (~20°C).
− Press the key and turn the en-
coder A to select the required tem-
perature.
− The large digits will light up on the
display, indicating the selected
temperature value.
