Zero cross signal detection error • Defective fusing relay
• Defective fusing relay circuit
• S24V fuse on the PSU
• Unstable AC power
• AC line noise
• As for an error due to a high frequency
noise interference, this SC will not
appear. In this case, SC557 will appear
and output the log only.
Zero cross signal is detected
consecutively 4 times (for 200 ms) at
power on with fusing relay being off.
-or-
Zero cross interrupts did not issue at
the prescribed 3 second intervals.
-or-
The detection error occurs twice or
more in 10 zero cross signal
detections. This error is defined when
the detected zero cross signal is less
than 45.
• Turn the Power Switch Off and On.
• Replace the PSU.
557 C
Zero cross frequency error • AC line noise (High frequency)
Zero cross signals of wavelength
50-60 Hz were not detected within 5
seconds after the fusing relay switched
on.
• No action needed.
• This SC will perform logging only. The
machine will start up normally.
559 A
Fuser 3 times jam error • Paper jams at the fusing roller
The paper jam counter for the fusing
unit reaches 3. The paper jam counter
is cleared if the paper is fed correctly.
This SC is activated only when this
function is enabled with "Engine
Maintenance" (default "OFF").
• This SC cannot be reset by turning the
power off and on.
• This SP should be reset by a CE.
• See below note.
• SP1159 determines whether SC559 is issued. The default is off. SC559 is not
issued after three consecutive jams in the paper unit. If SP1159 is set to on, turning
the machine power off/on does not reset the jam counter.
