9.4 USED TONER DETECTION
This copier does not use a sensor to detect used toner overflow.
Instead, this is determined by software counters.
When the CPU has counted 10 black toner end occurrences meaning that
10 cartridges have been used, the CPU calculates the number of copies per
toner cartridge n.

The number of copies per toner cartridge (n) is used to determine when the
used toner tank indicator should be made to blink.

After 250 copies are made, the used toner indicator starts blinking, after
another 250 copies are made, it lights continuously.

After 5,000 copies are made, the used toner indicator starts blinking.
After another 250 copies are made, it lights continuously.

After n x 0.67 copies are made, the used toner indicator starts blinking.
After another 250 copies are made, it lights continuously.
4) Total number of copies (black and color) = 80,250
The used toner indicator starts blinking, after 250 copies are made, it
lights continuously.
When the used toner tank indicator lights, the start key turns to red and no
more copy is made.
NOTE: Under the following conditions, the used toner tank must be emptied
and the counter for the number of black toner end occurrences must
be reset by SP mode # 83.
1) When performing PM.
2) When an abnormal condition occurs in toner density detection.
(The toner end cannot be detected in abnormal condition.)
