Select [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)] from the list and
click on [Properties].
Make sure [IP address] settings have been properly
configured.
For details on how to configure Windows such as
the IP address, see the Windows manual and Help
function or ask your network administrator. For
technical information about TCP/IP, see commercially
available publications.
Next, make sure that TCP/IP communication
between the printer and Windows is enabled.
For Windows XP/Server 2003:
Select [Start] - [All Programs] - [Accessories] -
[Command Prompt].
For Windows 2000:
Select [Start] - [Programs] - [Accessories] -
[Command Prompt].
Enter the ping command as shown in the diagram
below. Enter the IP address after the ping command.
For the printer’s IP address, check what is displayed
after selecting [Information] - [Network] on the control
panel of the printer unit.
