4.1.5 Bearings
MAD and MAF motors are equipped with permanently greased bearings. For
detailed information on the available bearings variants and their service life in
relation to the shaft and bearing load, please refer to the Project Planning
Manual

4.1.6 Cooling
Surface Ventilation
MAD motors may only operated with fans. They are cooled via air flows that
are guided through air baffles over the surface of the motor.
In order to ensure that the axial fan can convert the amount of air required, a
minimum distance between the fan grille and the machine must be taken into
account for sucking in/flowing off the air. The distance is based on the motor
construction.
