1.1 Torque Settings
The settings listed in table below list the required torque settings for the 41045 Series inflation system.
Refer to this table when tightening inflation system components that require a specific setting.
Tighten to the minimum setting in the specified range first. If leakage occurs, discharge the assembly
and tighten to the maximum setting.

1.2 Removal of Inflation Valve from Cylinder
1.2.1 Important: Make Sure Cylinder has been emptied prior to removing Inflation Valve.
Refer to Section 4 – Testing for Cylinder Valve Inflation Test for discharge procedure.
1.2.2 Remove the 90º outlet (IPL Fig. 3, Item 240) to accommodate crows foot.
1.2.3 Use ratchet and crows foot to remove Inflation Valve from Cylinder.
1.2.4 Check threads for condition.
1.2.4.1 Inflation Valves with worn threads must be discarded and replaced.
1.3 Inflation Valve Disassembly
1.3.1 Only organizations that are equipped with the latest technical data, tools and fixtures
are permitted to perform firing head rebuilding activities.
1.3.2 Steps 1-12 show a pictorial representation of the Inflation Valve
Disassembly Process.
1.3.3 All O-rings, Safety Rupture Disk, Puncture Disk, Puncture Pin and Spring are replaced
every six years. (Scheduled during cylinder valve inflation test and the cylinder
hydrostatic test)
