The PTFE seal is stiffer than seals made of the standard black material. It may not be possible 
to press the seal completely into the groove for the sealing ring by hand. Please proceed as 
follows:  
Place the grinding jar cover with the pre-assembled seal on the bottom of the grinding jar. Make 
sure that the PTFE sealing ring is seated in the groove parallel to the contour. Then tighten the 
star grips alternately so that the grinding jar cover lowers evenly (4-7). Avoid tilting or slanting 
the grinding jar cover. If necessary, use the opening aid provided. If there is resistance when 
turning both star handles, the seal is fully compressed.

Subsequently, the cover can be unscrewed again. Check the seal whether it is mechanically 
secured: The seal should be approximately flush with the cover surface. The grinding jar cover 
is then ready to be used for cryogenic grinding.
