g) Using the radio
Searching for stations
• Press the
TUNER/BAND
button (21) to switch to radio mode.
• Press the
TUNER/BAND
button (21) again to select the desired frequency (AM or FM).
• Turn the
TUNING/SKIP
wheel (8) left or right and hold it still for 1–2 seconds to search for the nearest station with
good reception.
• Press the
TUNER/BAND
button (21) to cancel the station search.
• Turn the
TUNING/SKIP
wheel (8) in small steps to change the reception frequency in 0.05 MHz (FM) or 0.09 kHZ
(AM) increments.
Saving stations manually
• Press the
MODE/CLK
button (14) to save a station to the memory. The station number will flash and "MEM" will
be displayed.
• Press the
ALBUM/PRESET
(11) or
ALBUM/PRESET
(10) button to select the station number, and then press
the
MODE/CLK
button (14) when the number is flashing to confirm your selection. "MEM" will disappear from the
display after a few seconds. Repeat these steps to save another station.
• To save additional stations, repeat the above steps for each station. Ensure that you select a new station number.
You can save up to 30 FM stations and 20 AM stations. You can select any available station number; the previous
station number does not need to be occupied.
The number of stations that you can receive depends on the geographical and ambient conditions.
Saving stations automatically
• Press the
button (12).
• The radio will search for all stations with good reception and save them automatically.
• Press the
CD/USB
,
PHONO/AUX
,
TAPE
or
TUNER/BAND
button to cancel the station search.
• The search process must be conducted separately for the FM and AM bands.
Selecting a previously saved station
• Press the
ALBUM/PRESET
(11) or
ALBUM/PRESET
(10) button to select the desired station.
h) Stereo/mono reception
• Press the
FM ST./ ID3
button on the remote control to switch between mono and stereo reception.

or
MONO
will be displayed to indicate which mode is selected. If reception is poor, select mono mode to reduce
background noise.
If reception is poor in stereo mode, unroll the FM antenna (25), or point it in another direction. If AM
reception is poor, try moving or turning the device (the AM signal is received via a built-in antenna inside
the device).
