9. Using the turntable
Only use the turntable when you have familiarised yourself with its features and these operating
instructions.
Check that all cables are connected properly.
a) Basic features
• Press the
STANDBY/VOLUME
wheel (24) to turn the turntable on or off.
• Turn the
STANDBY/VOLUME
wheel (24) to adjust the volume.
• The
STANDBY
indicator (16) turns on when the turntable is switched off.
• Select a playback source by touching the
CD/USB
(22),
PHONO/AUX
(20),
TUNER/BAND
(21) or
TAPE
(23)
buttons.
Press the
CD/USB
button (22) to switch between CD and USB mode.
Press the
PHONO/AUX
button (20) to switch between the turntable or the external
AUX IN
input (5).
Press the
TUNER/BAND
button (21) to switch between AM and FM radio.
• Press the
EQ
button (19) to change the equaliser setting. The equaliser changes the sound of the
audio from the playback source (e.g. CD player or USB memory stick). You can choose from 5 settings
(FLAT>ROCK>POP>JAZZ>CLASSIC).
• Press the
REC./DEL.
button (18) to record and delete music files.
b) Setting the time
• When the turntable is in standby mode (the
STANDBY LED
(16) must be on), press and hold the
MODE/CLK
button (14) for 3–5 seconds until "12 HOUR" or "24 HOUR" flashes on the LCD display (15).
• Turn the
TUNING/SKIP
wheel (8) to select the desired time format (12 HOUR or 24 HOUR).
• Press the
MODE/CLK
button (14) to confirm your selection.
• Turn the
TUNING/SKIP
wheel (8) to set the hour value.
• Press the
MODE/CLK
button (14) to confirm your selection.
• Turn the
TUNING/SKIP
wheel (8) to set the minute value.
• Press the
MODE/CLK
button (14) to confirm your selection.
c) Setting the alarm
• Set an alarm to switch the turntable on at a preset time. You can set the playback source to "TUNER" (radio), "CD"
or "USB" (USB memory stick with MP3 files).

ON time > OFF time > playback source > alarm volume
