• Only use the product in temperature climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical climates.
• Observe the additional safety information in the individual chapters of these operating instructions.
d) Electrical safety
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Only use the supplied mains adapter as a power source.
• Ensure that you connect the power adapter to a standard mains socket connected to the public grid.
Before plugging in the power adapter, check whether the voltage stated on the power adapter complies
with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect power adapters if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use the grips
on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp
edges.
• When laying cables, always ensure that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them.
• For safety reasons, unplug the power adapter from the mains socket during storms.
• The power adapter is built according to protection class II.
• Do not touch the power adapter if there are any signs of damage, as this may cause a fatal electric
shock. Switch off the mains voltage to the mains socket that is connected to the power adapter (switch off
at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, then switch off at the corresponding RCD
switch so that all poles of the mains socket are disconnected), and then unplug the power adapter from
the mains socket. Dispose of the faulty power adapter in an environmentally friendly way and discontinue
use. Replace it with a power adapter of the same design.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects containing liquid next to the product. If liquid
or an object does enter the interior of the device, power down the respective socket (e.g. switch off the
circuit breaker), and then disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. Discontinue use and take
the product to a specialist repair centre.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. The
condensation generated could destroy the product, and the power adapter may cause a fatal electric
shock. Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and putting
it to use. This may take several hours.
• Do not cover any of the ventilation grilles, otherwise the turntable may not cool properly. Ensure that
there is sufficient ventilation. Do not cover the device housing!
• Leave a gap of a few centimetres between the turntable and walls or other objects. This ensures that air
can circulate around the product.
• Listening to music at excessive volumes for prolonged periods can cause hearing damage, especially
when using headphones and earphones.
