13. Troubleshooting
Error Possible cause Corrective action
Renfert deflasking
chisel
fails to start; no
sound of compressed
air.
• Compressed air supply
not established.
• Ball valve on the Renfert
deflasking chisel not
properly/fully open.
• Kink in connecting hose.
• No compressed air.
• Check and correct the compressed air
connection.
• Fully open the ball valve.
• Straighten the connecting hose.
• Check the compressed air system and
in case switch the compressor on.
Renfert deflasking
chisel
fails to start but
compressed air can be
heard.
• Insufficient connecting
pressure.
• Motor gummed up or
blocked.
• Damaged piston.
• Increase the connecting pressure to 4-6
bar.
• The unit will need to be repaired by our
Service Department.
• The unit will need to be repaired by our

• Ball valve not fully open.
• Filter in the connector
