Turn the ball valve anticlockwise until the

starts.
• Switching the Unit Off
Turn the ball valve clockwise to its stop.
5.3 Adjust Chisel Force
The chisel force is adjusted by turning of the
ball valve (Figure 6).
5.4 Breaks / Conclusion of Work
• During short breaks:
Turn off at the ball valve.
• For longer breaks or at the conclusion of
work:
Disconnect the unit from the compressed air
supply.

5.5 Operational Notes
When working with the
Renfert deflasking
chisel
, please note the following safety informa-
tion.
Always work away from yourself.
Always wear eye protection! Working
with brittle materials can generate
splinters.
Always wear a dust mask!
Dust from investment materials can
be hazardous to your health. Always
refer to the MSDS (Material Safety
Data Sheets) provided with the
investment material.
Use a dust extraction unit!
The use of a dust extraction unit
(refer to the accessories list) can
significantly reduce health hazards.
Always wear hearing protection. The
unit’s sound level typically lies in the
range of 78 dB(A).
During some tasks, the sound level
can exceed 85 dB(A).
Risk of injury!
Compressed air exiting from the
front of the unit represents an injury
hazard. Never direct the
Renfert
deflasking chisel
towards your face
or towards other individuals.
When working with the
Renfert deflasking chisel
please also ensure that the resulting splinters,
dust or noise do not put others at risk.
In order to avoid health risks (e.g.,
white finger syndrome) resulting
from the effects of vibrations on the
hands and arms, please observe the
maximum exposure times specified
by the relevant regulatory agency.
6. Cleaning / Maintenance
Always disconnect the unit from the
compressed air supply before begin-
ning any maintenance tasks.
The
Renfert deflasking chisel
’s motor is main-
tenance-free. Never use oil or grease on the
Renfert deflasking chisel
. Occasionally clean
the exterior of the
Renfert deflasking chisel
with
a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
Never use cleansers containing
solvents!
6.1 Cleaning the Filter
Regularly (at least every month) examine the
filter in the connector fitting (Figure 7) and clean
it as required.
Use only
Renfert
filters!
Filter replacement (Figure 7):
• Roll away the O-ring seal
• Unscrew filter housing (hold up at the filter
housing with the screwdriver attached).
• Using an Allan key (SW 5 mm) unscrew the
sleeve.
• Remove the sieve together with the filter unit.
• Install a new piece of non-woven material
and sieve making sure to adhere to the cor-
rect sequence (Figure 7).
• Screw the sleeve back in and hand-tighten.
• Screw filter housing together
• Replace the O-ring seal
